I am Ogwo Bertha Omasirichi (Nee Enweh). I was born into a family of late Sir and Lady U. J Enweh of Owuagha Alike Obowo in Imo State. We are 3 siblings in the family of which I am the 2nd child. My parents were teachers. I attended my primary school education at St. Monica’s International Nursery and Primary School, Nkwerre, Imo State. My junior secondary school education was at St. Maria Goretti Girl’s Secondary School Umudioka, Orlu, while my senior secondary school education was at Madonna Senior Secondary School for Science, Etiti, Imo State. After completing my WAEC and NECO examination, I gained admission into Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State where I graduated with B.Sc. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. My university period was a time of great growth and self-discovery for me. However, it was also during this period that I faced the most significant challenges of my life due to the fact that I lost my father to the cold hands of the death in a brutal way. What a world! Anyway, life goes on and I headed for my NYSC in Gombe state. After my service I proceeded for an internship program at University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu State where I obtained my certificate as Registered Dietitian. In Nigeria, getting a dream job was not forth coming which landed me back to school where I obtained M.Sc. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at University of Nigeria Nsukka. I met my husband during my master’s degree program, and we got married. God blessed us with 3 beautiful children. My journey as a wife and mother has shaped me into who I am today. I am grateful for every moment because it has enabled me to succeed in life. I am currently running a Ph.D program at University of Nigeria Nsukka and hoping for better days ahead.
