Autobiography

MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY I was born in Owerri Imo State. My childhood was interesting and filled with lots of adventures as I was seen as a versatile child who has a vast interest and was willing to try out many things. As a child, my activities revolved around school, church and home. Music and sports featured so much while I was growing up such that I was already a drummer in the church as early as while I was 7 years, I played and loved football and was very involved in gymnastics while I was in Primary School at Assumpta Nursery and Primary School Owerri. My prowess in gymnastics gained me a lot of popularity while in Primary School as I was opportune to represent my school at various competitions. I started my secondary education in Government Technical College Owerri as I was among the very first set to do Junior Secondary education in that school. I reluctantly went to the school because as a child, I had the notion that going to a technical school simply means learning a trade and hence there won’t be need to attend university even though it was all false. At the completion of my Junior Secondary Education, we were asked to choose and join one of the various technical departments where we will be formally trained. I informed my parents that I was not going to continue in that school as I was not ready to choose any hence at that point, I had to quit the school. My parents got worried at my actions and then agreed to my demand for a change of school. I wanted to go to Government College Owerri but incidentally I was not favored with admission into the school. I later got informed about the school Madonna Senior Secondary School for Science Etiti through one of my Dad’s kinsman Mr. Damian Onyeakazi whose one of his child was already in the school. As that seemed interesting to me, I didn’t like the part that I must have to be in a boarding school as the school only runs boarding. I embraced the school wholeheartedly and made it my new home after I got registered to resume Senior Secondary in the school. There in Madonna, I met various wonderful people as friends became more like siblings and we all experienced the sweetness and difficulties of being in a boarding school. We had wonderful and dedicated teachers who helped us to give us a solid foundation which we enjoy today in our various works of life. At the completion of my Secondary Education in 2002, I gained admission into Imo State University in 2004 where I studied Soil Science and Environmental Management. Due to my love and interest to impact on younger ones, I engaged in teaching Physics and Maths in Secondary School as a part-time teacher. On completion, I went to serve my fatherland in the NYSC programme as I was deployed to Wudil LGA in Kano State where I taught Mathematics in a Government Secondary School. During my Service year, I had to learn to integrate into a culture and environment that I am not used to. I served with an open mind and enjoyed every bit of it and took the challenges encountered as part of the learning process. I made friends with people of different background and made the best out of the moment as I was loved by my students to the extent that on my way to school, I carried them on their bicycle as a means to save transport fare to my school. At the completion of my NYSC, I decided that I was not going back to Owerri hence I stayed back with my uncle in Abuja to search for a job. At the same time, I decided to also further my education hence I applied for Masters programme in Federal University of Technology Minna Niger State. Interestingly, while I got a job in Airtel Nigeria to work in Abuja, I also got Masters Admission in FUT Minna to further my studies in Soil Science. It was a difficult moment for me as I had to shuttle both of them. Surprisingly, I was transferred from Abuja to Minna and that eased my academic journey as I no longer had to do inter-state travels to attend lectures. I stood as the only student that graduated as others all quitted on the way due to one reason or the other. While in Minna as a young bachelor, my life revolved around my work and choir activities. In 2014, I met my wife in choir at St. Michael’s Cathedral Minna as she came for her NYSC. In 2015, I was transferred to Makurdi Benue State where I continued rendering services in Airtel Nigeria. There, I met and worked with another set of interesting people. I continued with revolving my life around work and choir until in 2017 I was transferred to Owerri Imo State hence I came home. In same 2017, I got married to my wife Adaeze and we have 2 kids. I am currently the Director of Education in NICOK Integrated Solutions and the Chief Executive Officer of ZIGMASUJIS SOLUTIONS an Information Communication Technology (ICT) firm which oversees to providing excellent technological solutions to cooperate organizations, Churches, Schools and Hospitals thereby providing robust support services to clients.
