Showcasing Our Achievements
OFFICIAL OPENING OF OLUCHI OKAFOR'S SHOP SPONSORED BY 02 SET MEMBERS
Oluchi Okafor (Nee Onyedinma) is our widowed classmate with 4 children who have been passing through tough times in the village after the loss of her husband. She took up the struggle of single-handedly raising her children. One fateful day, Uche Anamege (Anams) met her in a public transport and recognized her. He asked her where she have been. He got a hint of what she has been passing through and brought a report about her to the general house. It was agreed that instead of giving her some money, let us go extra mile to open up a business for her through which she will make a living for herself and children. A fund raising campaign was initiated raising a good amount of money with which a container was secured for her as well as stocking it up with products for the line of business she is experienced in (Selling food stuffs and provisions). A lot of classmates was at the official opening of the shop at Mbano afterwhich we had merriment in town.
APPRECIATION VISIT TO SIR CHIMA WHO TAUGHT US PHYSICS DURING OUR DAYS IN MADONNA
Sir Chima is one of our Physics teachers whose efforts were highly recognized. During the days he taught in Madonna, we recall his consistent punctuality to class. We also recall how he always hurries into the class, drops his bunch of keys on the table and start teaching immediately. We also recall his ability to teach Physics without any book or even piece of paper. We also recall his blunt refusal of the use of calculators in his class but rather encouraged that everyone must calculate without calculators. This he said was to help us sharpen our brains so as to compete favorably in any environment we find ourselves.
We are happy that we had the opportunity to meet him again to appreciate him with cash donation while he is alive.
He was full of thanks for the kind gesture towards him and gave us blessings of a father.
